Setting up Internet Access

Accessing the Internet raises a wide range of Information Security issues.

The dangers arising from downloading information from the Internet are addressed in Downloading Files and Information from the Internet. The potential threats raised in respect of sending and receiving e-mails are considered in Sending Electronic Mail and Receiving Electronic Mail. The need to have formalised procedures for dealing with electronic message storage and deletion is dealt with in Retaining or Deleting Electronic Mail.
